If you tried to download a caption file and saw a 500 error page it is most likely related to an SCC file. We recommend you open the Caption Editor and check to ensure your caption file follows the SCC format guidelines:
- No more than 32 characters per line (including spaces and punctuation)
- No more than 4 lines per caption.
- No unsupported special characters
Any deviation from this spec will result in an invalid SCC file and cause the 500 error you encountered.
If you actually need to download the SCC caption file format please, follow the instructions above and make the necessary corrections in the Caption Editor.
If you don’t need the SCC file, then you can just uncheck the box next to this file format in your caption file settings and download your captions.
If you checked everything but you are still seeing the 500 error please, contact SyncWords support.
